On the occasion of the ninth founding anniversary of the National Daily Sorejmin barta in 2019, an award was presented for special contributions to journalism and writing on contemporary issues. The then Home Minister of Bangladesh, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, was present as the chief guest at the event.
